A Manchester Photography Studio Built Around Better Shoot Days
Abstract Studios was created to be the kind of creative space Manchester needed: professional enough for serious productions, flexible enough for almost any shoot and easy to use from the moment you arrive.
The building has its own story. Originally used as a cable factory during the Second World War, it later became an ironworks producing gates and metalwork.
Before it could become a photography studio, we rebuilt the roof, walls and floor from the ground up. Only then did we start creating the studio itself: adding seven large skylights, a 5.5-metre infinity cove, six-metre ceilings and a dedicated dressing and makeup room filled with natural light.
The result is a modern photography and video studio where the practical side of production has been thought about just as carefully as the shooting space.
