What studio spaces are included with my booking?

Generally, when you book Abstract Studios online, you’re booking dedicated time in the Infinity Cove Studio and the connected dressing room/MUA space. The outdoor area and tunnel are available at the same price, but it’s best to contact us if you’d like to use these areas, as we share parts of them with Brunswick Mill Rehearsal Studios and need to check availability.

Can I use the Infinity Cove during my session?

Yes. The Infinity Cove is the main shooting area at Abstract Studios and is included as standard when you book the studio. If you’re planning anything that could mark or damage the cove, or you need it prepared in a particular way for your shoot, please contact us beforehand so we can make sure everything is ready for you.

Does the studio have natural light?

Yes. The studio has natural light available, giving you the option of shooting with daylight as well as studio lighting. The amount and direction of natural light will naturally vary depending on the time of day and weather, so if natural light is particularly important for your shoot, feel free to contact us before booking.

Can the studio be fully blacked out?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the studio can be blacked out, giving you much more control over your lighting and making the space suitable for shoots where you don’t want natural or ambient light affecting the setup.

What lighting and equipment is included?

Accepted Answer

We have a selection of studio lighting and equipment available for clients to use. As equipment can change and different shoots have different requirements, we recommend checking with us before your booking if there’s a particular light, modifier, stand or piece of equipment you need. That way, we can confirm exactly what will be available for your session.

Can I bring large props or equipment into the studio?

Yes. We’re happy for clients to bring their own props and equipment into the studio, including larger items. If you’re planning to bring something particularly large, heavy or unusual, please contact us beforehand. We can confirm access and make sure you’ll be able to get everything into the studio safely and easily.

Is the studio suitable for video and filming?

Yes. Abstract Studios can be used for both photography and video productions, including content creation, interviews, music videos and other filmed projects. If your production has specific requirements around sound, power, lighting, set building or crew size, get in touch before booking and we can advise on whether the space will work for your shoot.

Is there a makeup and changing area?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your studio booking includes access to the connected dressing room and makeup/MUA area, so models, talent and clients have a dedicated space to get ready and change during the session. This space has as much natural light as the main studio to ensure makeup consistency.

How many people can the studio accommodate?

Accepted Answer

The studio comfortably accommodates productions of up to 20 people. The ideal number of people depends on what you’re shooting and how much equipment or set space you’ll need. If you’re planning a larger production with models, crew, stylists, MUAs or other team members, contact us beforehand and we can advise on the best setup.

Yes, free parking is available for clients and crew visiting Abstract Studios. If you’re bringing a particularly large crew or several vehicles, it’s worth letting us know beforehand so we can advise on parking and access for your booking.
